will you still be friends with Ryan?

When friend goes to online check-in, he sees an option to upgrade to business class for $125 plus some eupgrades. He has no idea what eUpgrades are and is doesn't have status with AC. He continues to select the upgrade and it clears. The upgrades come from my account. I did NOT authorize him to use my upgrades, nor was he a nominee, and nor was I traveling with him. So this shouldn't even be allowed to happen in the first place!

Furthermore, the payment didn't go through cause he put in the wrong expiry date my mistake and now my eUpgrade account is suspended until I pay the $125 add-on! I've cleared it up, but the suspension won't be lifted for 24 hours and upgrade window just opened for my next flight

I'm fighting with Air Canada now to get my eUpgrades back. Has anyone else been in this spot before?

I'm very annoyed with Ryan for doing this, but he's not an experienced flyer and didn't know what he was doing so I'm more mad at Air Canada for allowing it to happen!
