The 500 weekend points are for all cards, not just AMEX. T&C states to allow 6 weeks from end of promo, which leads me to believe it'll be a sweep.
I don't know if this was ever clarified. But what did it mean in the terms "credit card that was used to register for this promotion" We didn't ever "use" a credit card to register at all... "To be eligible to receive the Card Member bonus, Card Member must have an active Marriott Bonvoy member account linked to their credit card that was used to register for this promotion"
