- We are having a hard time deciding a room category - are the private pools nice in the pool suites? Any insight into the difference between the one-bedroom pool suite and the one-bedroom casita suite?

- Some recent TA reports (I tend to ignore TA but there isn't a ton elsewhere) are discouraging on service glitches and food. Should I write this off to the fact that it's just reopening, or is this a major issue?

Would appreciate any thoughts or insight... Or ideas on other Caribbean destinations (especially beachside private pool accommodations on the beach)... We've considered a bunch of places (Le Toiny, Hermitage Bay, Jumby Bay) but Cap Juluca seemed like it ticked the most boxes for us. As context, we are traveling as a couple without kids and are trying to keep our nightly rate to less than ~$2,500-3000 or so.

Thanks very much in advance!
Traveling but wanted to quickly jump in to provide a datapoint...I've had two sets of clients visit post renovation and both loved it! However, their expectations weren't through the roof regarding service. Knowing there might be some hiccups. And there were hiccups but nothing crazy. Loved the renovated look of the property and the beach and water is still fantastic. I will try to hop back on at some point and share more details on the rooms but feedback has been positive, overall and I think you'll enjoy Cap Juluca.

The water and beach is completely different but I do love Amanera's pool casitas. A bay view pool casita facing the beach/ocean is fantastic but it is slightly less private. Amanera has one of my favorite beach clubs (within Amans) as well and their food is fairly good.
