One-on-one with United president Scott Kirby - McGinnis

I don't normally post links to blogs but this interview has a number of interesting points
One-on-one with United president Scott Kirby - Chris McGinnis

50-60% "buyup to standard Economy" from BE -- meaning ?? 40-50% in the back are BE? (not sure if this includes premier members)

SFO ASM is up 10% over last year and Kirby is high on SFO
T3 to T2 connector to access more gates
Oddly spoke of the mezzanine UC in the past tense, was still operating last week.
787-10 SFO<>EWR is planned for the foreseeable future

Return of OAK?? Maybe
SJC -- just to hubs

Kirby acknowledged the UA wifi problems (we have heard that before) but UA is evaluating 4 systems and may converge to just one system. (ViaSat, Panasonic with a new fix, ?)

New livery-- evolution, not revolution

Hawaii -- WN vs UA -- UA is better positioned, more flights, more airports --- wait for this, UA food is an advantage

numerous other tib bits
