I'm not sure if there's an easy way to fix this however I'm trying to link my (US) American Express Rewards Account with my UK British Airways Executive Club Account. My names don't match perfectly as BA has my first name as <first name> <middle name>. The error I'm getting from Amex is that the partner rejected the account.
I can only see this being 1 of 2 things - 1) it needs to be a perfect match or 2) it matters that it's a US based Amex with a UK BA account?
If it's 1) can I set up an Iberia account with a perfect name match and use this to combine Avios or will this end up with the same problem (no perfect name match) OR if it's 2) is there something I need to do to move my BAEC account to the US?

Your No. 1 sounds correct. Computers do reject even for a coma !
Re setting up with Iberia, you may run into trouble if you try to transfer from IB to BA?
