How self righteous to make such a rhetorical question of the poor FA. If your wife's diet is so restricted then bring along your own "approved" snacks; complain to DELTA corporate (which you already knew the FA was going to say).
Really? She "... can't have ANY snacks in C+/Y,"? There are "gluten free" options. Drink some Orange Juice, the Biscoff cookies, the KIND Bars, the snack mix, bananas, etc.

If someone has such specific diet restrictions then they can bring their own "approved" snacks. I feel bad for DELTA. As the old adage goes, you can please some of the people some of the time but you can't please all of the people all of the time.
Personally, I carry Larabars (also gluten free) and Clif bars to supplement my snack choices.
