My MIL fell recently and fractured her pelvis and is currently in rehab, so at least my wife will probably cancel, and I am not sure yet. What are the options for cancelling and minimizing any associated fees? Also, what happens if I just cancel her tickets, and retain mine -Any way to still retain her PPro benefits. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. This will probably be a last minute decision. Do I need to cancel by a certain time before the flights?
You can cancel anytime, but the crucial answers are unavailable until you look at your detailed fare rules. E.g. a $250 change fee may mean you’ll save money by abandoning the ticket..

Once your wife cancels you are no longer her travel companion and you fly on your own status. The exception might be any premium seating you were able to book might be kept (though any equipment change etc. will undoubtedly put an end to that).
