Unless IHG cancelled the points because the individual is blind, the two issues are unrelated (points and sight).
IHG's I.T will expire points after 12months of zero points activity for a non-elite, and I.T. programming will have no idea that a membervis handicapped, ie deaf, blind etc, there has been absolutely no discrimination
That said a blind person my well be disadvantaged and unaware of the 2014-2015 t+c updates to expire points, If member can demonstrate this I would hope IHG would be flexible and restore the lost 60k points, but will need escalating to ihg management as no doubt the front desk helpdesk employees will not have any leeway to be be flexible.
