Just called AA to get back airport taxes for unused ticket (basic eco) and was told it can only be given back if the reservation was cancelled before the first flight on itinerary. Done this with other airlines many times before and never had problem after no show. Any suggestions? Called twice to speak to two different agents, one told me it is not possible on the phone, the other told me it is not possible after no show.
