I think this is from "Up in the Air", the ultimate movie about miles & points. "Miles traveled" sounds much more manlier than "points earned"

But that' because flying a legacy airline on business that much sounds manlier than flying a single-cabin low cost carrier that much. The point of status on those airlines is upgrades to cabins which looks nice in movies. There's nothing about status that would look nice in a movie at Southwest.
So you can have reality TV shows about Southwest (and we have), but movies about someone having lifetime status at a hardly-any-status-benefits (by comparison to legacies) airline like Southwest, forget it.
