2 stays for the same night - Why Not
I believe you would get credit for both stays even if they were in the same city. It is all about how the computer sweeps the accounts. We know you cannot get multiple stay credits for the same hotel, but I don’t believe the computer cross references the dates against the hotel names. What happens if you stay at the PH Tokyo and fly to SFO and stay a night there? The dates would be the same for both stays.
A few years ago I was watching CNBC and some Hyatt Big Wig was on touting their newest promo ‘Faster Free Nights’ and the Gold Passport program. One of the things he mentioned was Hyatt’s best customer. A consultant that lived in a suite at SFO, and also traveled all the time so he had managed to accumulate something like 450 qualifying nights the previous year.
I have never tried this, but I think someone should give it a go. If you called GP they would probably tell you that you could not get 2 stay credits, but like I said, it really depends on how the computer sweeps the accounts.
