Thanks for the tip. Even if we decide to go to Shiretoko, though, we wouldn't be able to squeeze this park into our plans. This park opens at 8.30am, we'd have to get to the cruise by 9.30am, and it takes an hour from this park to the cruise.

I understand that different crabs have different seasons. Nonetheless can't you have fresh crabs year-round? I've been to Hokkaido in July, Dec, Jan, Feb and March... I can always find king and snow crabs no matter when I go.

The marshland doesn't seem like it's all that, and I'm thinking of Shiretoko as just a bucketlist place.
Had a rather stressful week... doing nothing at Niseko Hilton seems really appealing at the moment.
