travel with crutches/knee scooter
Traveling in 2 weeks through DFW. Leg from home is a small regional jet and then from DFW to IAH is a larger plane.
My daughter just broke her foot/leg and will be in a cast as soon as the swelling goes down. She will now be travelling with crutches and a knee scooter. I am wondering how that will work when flying with AA? Will they gate check both or either or let us bring on the plane? She could manage with crutches to get to her seat but cannot put any weight on her leg.
Any advice would be appreciated. We do have over a 2 hour layover so should be okay to get to the connecting gate without help. If we are running behind schedule though, can the FA request a cart assistance that day or do we have to request in advance of travelling.
Thanks!
