Have been thinking about how best to utilize the time on the flight in order to hit the ground running in Singapore (as much as is possible).
As it departs around midnight - I believe is about 3pm in SG - it seems like the best tactic is to eat, watch a couple movies, then sleep from around 7hrs into the flight. This would mimic the time in Singapore as much as possible, and allow me to wake up normally in the morning Singapore time before landing.
Any tips appreciated! I've flown SQ a few times in J, but never on this long a flight.
I've done it once in each direction and on the way to SIN, it was so long that I recall two sessions of sleeping. I can generally sleep any time and anywhere, but this flight was so long that I did what you described and still woke up, watched a few movies and then hunkered down for another long sleep until shortly before arrival. You'll probably get enough hours of sleep given how long the flight is - you'll just be a bit off based on usual jet lag effects. I personally prefer being awake an hour or two prior to arrival to "wake up"
