All reasonably priced BA flights (and by reasonably, i mean flights that are roughly the same as the LCC when doing HBO) also leave at stupid o clock- getting to LHR is not easy either for a 6am DUS flight- it is no easier to get to stansted at 3am (i always ensure i am stupid early in case of any problems) than it is to LHR on a friday morning with no public transport.

Ryanair cancelled a flight of mine last year when i was germany. They not only refunded my money but on top of that, paid out my EU compensation immediately with no qualms as i see BA doing a lot.

Ryanair fly to Eindhovem, which is a city airport that is terribly convenient to get to and a far better airport than AMS which has always been the WORST with its long walks.

I had a full row to myself when i flew out and when i flew back, i had an aisle seat which is always my preference. Noone was drunk on my flight, everyone was polite.. i didnt get woken up by the announcements.

The flights (including the £12 in total to get my bags on) cost me £35 or something close return. Flights to AMS that same weekend would have cost me £116 on BA for a service that would not have been much better.

Executive Club status does not work for travelers like me. It used to.. If i flew to the East Coast USA, i would get enough point to, at least, get one single flight to europe, usually more which was the main reason i used BA. But they have reduced points so much, that its not worth choosing BA over any other airline. I fly at least once a month. As blue, that gets me literally nothing.

Say what you will about Ryanair.. im not the biggest fan, but to Holland, their service is far superior to BAs and Ryanair dont pretend to be something they are not.. BA still try and keep up pretences that they are a quality airline, where in Y, as a blue, the service is probably the same, if not worse, than Ryanair, costing at least 3 x the price.
