LCCs are fine when the flight is empty - I’ve been lulled into that false sense of security on my past few flights with empty seats next to me. But having just taken a packed flight on easyJet, which I booked 5 days ago, I’ve paid more than I would’ve done on BA, had to pay £20 for a crap middle seat in order to guarantee getting my bag on, waited an hour to get served BoB, had no priority security, had to use a priority pass to access the overcrowded no1 lounge and had to deal with LGW N which continues to look like a long-abandoned building project from the third world. So whilst BA isn’t perfect, I won’t be rushing back to LCCs anytime soon.
