We finished a 5 night stay this week, and we're very pleased with the stay. The hotel was completely booked for 4 nights due to a company event, but they upgraded us to a pool entry room. Most of these enter into the smaller pools, waist or so deep, but nice and quiet after a long day out. Other pools on the back side (sea side) were 2+ meters deep.

The room was clean with no smell of mold or moisture It had a nice side area that we were able to put a rollaway bed (no charge at least for a Titanium) into that allowed my son to feel like he had his own corner. Nice sized room, so no complaints.

Breakfast was granted for all 3 of us (12 year old son) and it is of very good quality Cook to order eggs were available on Monday and Tuesday mornings. Good variety.

You could turn down cleaning service for a $15 coupon for on-property dining (no room service) and the interesting part was that you could stack them. Plates are $35 on average, so steep, but a decent discount if you stack multiple.

Location is good, as it's only 5 minutes driving to Port Douglas. We had heavy rain 2 days but had a day at the Great Barrier Reef, and one day self-driving to Cape Tribulation A rainy day was spent at Hartley's Crocodile Park. All were recommended albeit a bit pricey for a Canadian. (Americans with a 35% discount may not feel the same!) Lots of dining options in Port Douglas, with a grocery store there and one 3 minutes from the hotel the opposite direction.

All told, we would happily return. The employees were friendly without going overboard.
