I just applied for a new card (emailed 50k miles / $2500 offer). 7-10 day message, called in, they called me back, then texted me, and I was approved.
The interesting thing was, last night I requested (by SM) to reduce 2 cards from $12k+ credit limits down to $2k. This does not appear to have been processed yet (at least, my account still shows $12k+ limits for both cards). However, I was approved with a credit limit of >$12k. My previous card was only ~$7k. I was expected the credit limit to go down again, rather than back up to previous levels.
I'm not sure if the credit limit decrease is processed in their system but not yet reflected on my account page.
