My husband and I are considering traveling to Phuket the first half of October. But I've been reading that Oct. is their monsoon / rainy season.

How rainy is it? Does it pour for long periods of time - or just a heavy downpour every once in a while? I don't mind a little rain - but a lot could be a different story.
