One thing I've noticed on this forum is how some of those with status can become all a bit blase about the whole CE experience. Having lounge access included in the CE package is still seen as a 'luxury' to many including me.
I redeemed some miles to get a friend and her 3 children, 2 adult, flights to Lanzarote, and on the outbound got them CE. They thought it was fabulous, and loved the lounge and champagne. They certainly thought it was luxurious. The only concern they had was the youngest thought it was wasted on her big sister.
