I think the main reason it was suspended during the 7M8 grounding is because of the long downtime at LHR - the aircraft has to overnight on the ground at LHR after doing the day flight, and at a time when AC needs all the capacity it can get, just doesn't make sense to have a 789 sitting so long. I think its a wise move on AC's part.
