My one complaint from my SIN-LAX flight (J) is that the second meal is served way too early. The first meal service lasts well into the 2nd hour of the flight or longer. Less than six hours later, they are waking you up for the 2nd meal service. It is not like I worked up an appetite during six hours of sleeping. I was right in the middle of some pretty well-needed REM sleep when the lights came on the the crew sprung into action. All the commotion woke me up, despite an eyeshade and a pillow over my face. I was unable to fall asleep again for the remaining 6 hours of the flight. For such a long flight, they really should give you an honest 8+ hours of quiet time between meals. For people absolutely hell-bent on consuming copious amounts of food, they can always hit the call button in the meanwhile. No one should need 3 whole meals during a 14 hour flight aside from the crew.

Other than that, the onboard experience was excellent. I actually quite enjoyed the J seat, despite being 5'11". Unfortunately, the USA flights depart from Terminal 1, which only has a fairly mediocre Thai lounge. The expansive SQ Silver lounge in T3 is quite a haul from the gate.
