If this is a short only haul ticket without complications (connections, etc) and it's a "Plus" fare (checked bags, etc) then same day change will be available on an "H" booking class with BA. That is in addition to changes to the ticket requiring re-issuing, cancellation and rebooking, and other such options for changing when you travel.
The complication is that it's a ticket for a Comair flight. I'm hoping to cancel and rebook if the price drops. Revenue management seems a bit erratic on Comair, so I might get lucky!
