Those who are most successful in this game are the ones who can fight the confirmation bias. "Citi requested more info....they must think I'm high risk." "I got denied a bonus.....I must not be eligible." And so on.

Nope.

Read this thread.

If they request more info, send it in. Eventually they stop asking for it. Maybe because you dropped below a magic income number, maybe because they have given you 6 cards and are good with 7, maybe because you have red hair and red hair means income verification for cards 2-5 but not 6-9 but yes for 10-14. Just send it in and enjoy the miles.

If you have to call in, just call in every time. It's the most lucrative 6 minutes you'll spend this year. They. Do. Not. Care. There is no reason to not apply because you have to call in. My wife called in yesterday for her 16th card, they couldn't do the verification thing. Called back 6 hours later....."did you receive a letter from us?" "No." "Did you receive a call?" "Yes. They left a voicemail with a reference number but I didn't write it down." "OK. Let me send you a text right now." It was literally only 90 seconds longer than every other call. That's it.

If you got denied a bonus, it's because you worded it improperly. If the rep says they can't do it, that's an incompetent rep. Try again. Use the phrasing that so many in this thread have mentioned.
