I am booked here for two nights in early October so my family can see Sintra. I am traveling with my husband, and two kids (ages 2 and 4). We are thinking about driving from Porto to be able to stop along the way, and then will just park the car at Penha when we arrive. I've heard that driving to the sights in Sintra is a nightmare because of parking. Has anyone stayed here and tried this? Perhaps it won't be as much of an issue for us in October? Since we have the kids with us, I would be happy to pay for a taxi to the sights, unless it is really expensive. Any insights on driving from the Penha and parking at the sights in Sintra?
