I am in the same position.

I wrote to GGL and the response was:

"Thank you for your email and providing the information.

I have requested your status be updated to Diamond with Hilton.

This can take a few weeks to update and I thank you for your patience at this time."

I suggest you call the GGL line back a few days before your stay if the status has not been updated and see if they can contact Hilton Honors of the hotel for you.
