So, I wouldn't consider 47min a sensible connection time (D->I) even though I'm reading that it meets MCT.

But I figured I'd ask the opinion question: Would you choose PHX-MIA-MXP with said 47min connection, or PHX-LHR-MXP with a 4 hour connection (longer than is necessary at Heathrow but not enough to really go into town)? This is for my coworker's college-age daughter in Y.

Edit: Since weather plays into these things, this is for the summer.
