Will be flying from Dublin to Switzerland for 5-days in Zermatt in April for holidays.
I booked the hotel but not the flight. Was wondering between Zurich and Geneva which is the better airport to fly to and from? I've been to Zurich's airport and it was relatively modern and pretty efficient but have not yet been to Geneva's.
No personal experience, but been doing a LOT of research with my own Swiss vacation coming up in Oct. which will be a sort of 8-night cross-county type itinerary starting in Geneva > Montreux > Zermatt > Lauterbrunnen > Lucerne > Zurich. So I guess we'll get to experience both airports when it's all done.
You didn't mention how you planned on traveling in Switzerland, but I'm guessing via train. Geneva > Zermatt is about 4hrs with one transfer, Zurich > Zermatt is a little less at about 3 1/2 hrs.
