Obviously you could cut it tighter especially depending upon passport and say Nexus and priority security etc... But I think you’d be cutting it fine.
And if there’s a whole family? I‘m assuming that means kids and thats likely going to be a nightmare.
You assume correctly, there are going to be two kids involved here. Really does sound like the best thing to do is to find a comfortable place to settle for a while either domestic airside or landside before TB security. We'll probably all still be on HKG time so who knows how we'll be feeling when we get there but leaving the airport property for a hotel certainly doesn't sound like a great idea.
