Getting to the airport early was always part of the plan. My green card expires next month and the trip isn’t until June, but I already have the 1 year extension sticker on the green card as part of the renewal process. (You can’t begin to renew a green card until 6 months before its due to expire, but current processing times are as long as 11 months). I figured getting there early should give me a little more time, should AA have concerns about the validity of the green card.
