No moving map, but surely someone would have noticed the lack of water 25 minutes after take off? Or perhaps too cloudy.

I assume the pilot and co-pilot were under the impression they were supposed to go to Edinburgh, which I kind of get

But no idea how atc at EDI didn't pick them up on it? Or perhaps they did, and it was sensible to land and take stock of the situation....

So many questions!
