Has anyone else noticed significantly less upgrades for gs members and delays in clearing with many open seats? I’ve had GS for about 4 years and had a lot of success finding flights with PN availability or even clearing waitlists. Then midway through last year it seems to have totally dried up. I can’t find any PN flights and waitlists don’t clear until inside the 3-5 day complimentary upgrade window. Even then I usually have to call again. Definitely seems like something changed but not sure if it’s just me.
It's pretty tough to say, but yes, PN is scarce for most flights these days. Something I notice is that when P space is available with PN0, I often times clear quickly (within a few days of booking). It's anyone's guess as to what happens behind the scenes for GS instrument upgrades... but I have done pretty well this year so far, even on the elusive p.s. flights. Nothing is intuitive anymore when trying to upgrade on UA.
