Last minute seat change / downgrade on award ticket post check in
I am currently typing from 32F on an A321, the rest of my family is in row 36. Yesterday I checked in, and had us all in MCE row 8.

There was an equipment change earlier in the week, but I had confirmed seats in row 8 after that happened. This is award travel.

What had happened here?
