Has there ever been a P fare filed? or is this just business as usual? for example LAX-BOS has had P for a while but they are all just filed like K fares for example. Similar to Basic on carriers where there is no B in the fare basis.
I though they were, or at least in the past P was a discount true First on AS, and not an instant Y-up fare.

Dont know exactly.
beckoa spotted the I bucket when Basic Economy/Saver was rolled out but it was all zeroed out and no fares were filed that mentioned it. Now they're available on a limited basis.
