It really depends on your travel patterns, fare classes and travel classes. If flying J, then you should be able to earn miles when crediting to either ffps, but if for instance flying cheapo Y, then usually AM wouldn’t earn miles from the QR flight.

also, bear in mind the HUGE devaluation of Qatar’s privilege club, which is ridiculous at best. Asia miles are much more valuable than Qmiles in my opinion.
