Hey guys, I am flying on Qatar Airways tomorrow. I am based in HK and so far have Asia Miles only so far. I don't fly Cathay that much, personally prefer Qatar airways.

Is it a better idea to get Asia Miles from Qatar Airways flights (or any other partner airlines flights that I take), or should I get qmiles for this flight instead? The first option will increase my Asia Miles but the devaluation of AM makes me think it might be better to have qmiles as well. I do see myself flying on Qatar more than Cathay in the future.
