Confusing cancellation MDW to BOS for 3/24 (not MAX)

I received an email today that my 3/24 MDW to BOS flight was cancelled. The email included a link to rebook. When I clicked it and looked at the flights for that date, only 2 flights showed up as not sold out: the allegedly cancelled one (showing up normally as bookable in the rebooking interface) and one other flight much less convenient. I grabbed the less convenient one ("two seats remaining") but immediately called SWA. The csr stated that the supposedly cancelled flight was really cancelled, though it continues to show up on the schedule (now as "sold out"). She also confirmed (as I had previously) that it was not on a MAX but rather an 800 series (I do understand non-MAX flights might get cancelled to allow reshuffling, though the csr had no idea of the reason for the cancellation). I questioned if the cancellation notice may have been a glitch or mistake (seems weird it continued to show as bookable after supposedly being cancelled, and now merely shows as sold out) but the csr could only say it was cancelled and was now showing as sold out. Anyone else have anything like this? I worry I may have jumped too quickly to a much worse flight when there may have not really been a cancellation at all. Is there a list of (actually) cancelled flights anywhere?
