I like both of these hotels, but the location of the Andaz is better for my tastes (I want to be in the middle of everything). The noise did not bother me -- in fact I didn't notice it (I'm a deep sleeper; a siren or some drunk people yelling outside will not keep me awake or wake me up).

Also the service at the Andaz was amazing. Suite upgrade, very nice amenity (a very reasonable bottle of wine and some nice snacks) and really great staff. Breakfast was very, very good, and not a buffet. They go with a per-person allowance, but it's impossible to hit it if you just order what the Hyatt terms allow, so it's quite reasonable. Also I had an overage one day (lots of sides) and they didn't charge me, so I think the allowance is unenforced.

STK downstairs is good but somewhat overpriced. Note that they are not Hyatt-managed. You can pay by room charge but it will not be eligible spend (no base points).

Basically I would say, if you like being in the middle of all the nightlife, Andaz. If you want to see it but not necessarily live in it, GH. The hotels are walking distance from each other so you can definitely go out there at night and then head back to your quiet room at the GH if you want to.

As for airport transportation, a relatively cheap Lyft ride will get you to/from the airport regardless of which hotel you choose.
