No, the Canyon Suites at the Phoenician is a separate hotel within the larger Phoenician Resort. There are 3 properties on site:
The Phoenician Resort
The Canyon Suites at the Phoenician
The Phoenician Residences
The Phoenician Residences are not in any way connected to the Canyon Suites, nor can Residences guests access the Canyon Suites special services or its special pool. The Residences are able to access the regular Phoenician services and facilities, though.
I am unsure as to what specific units to which you refer, since I've never been there!
