Pay attention to "RESERVATION FOR NEW ITINERARY MUST BE MADE AND TICKETS ISSUED NO LATER THAN 1YEAR FROM ISSUE DATE OF TICKET BEING EXCHANGED."
You get 1 year from your original ticket issue date, not 1 year from your cancellation. But otherwise, yes, you'll have a credit of original fare minus the change fee.
Note also "IF DIFFERENT BOOKING CLASS- NEW FARE MAY BE EQUAL / HIGHER THAN ORIGINAL FARE". If your new ticket is not the same booking class as your original, you have to buy a more expensive ticket. (Weird, right?)
