Was able to use GC at checkout last year at a Hilton.

However, I'll never buy them again due to poor service from the Amex GC team. Only used it for Amex Offer, one was never registered/loaded. I called/e-mailed, they said they would fix it. Nothing happened in the end, and I just lost money.
