Very discouraging if this is the new policy under Marriott. In Jan 2015 I stayed at the StR Aspen on points for five nights. My inbound flight was cancelled and I was re-booked on a flight that arrived the following morning. I called the hotel to inform them of my late arrival. They simply checked me in over the phone and held my room for my arrival the following morning. No extra charges whatsoever and I got into my room with no issues around 11am the day after my original check in date.
