Have not seen this thread and it's pretty fascinating to me.
I'm a UK Platinum card holder (recoup more than the annual fee w/ offers, benefits) but wondering; does this type of transfer work to other (i.e. non US$/£) Amex MR accounts?

I hold an Australian Platinum card, and Amex are devaluing the program next month. Am I able to convert my UK MR points into AU MR points at a conversion rate similar to GBP/AUD? (currently ~1.88).

If so, that sounds quite attractive to me as a way of almost doubling my points. Target program would probably be either VA or SQ which have very fair redemptions...
