Sure, customer service has dipped (as have ticket prices) but they've improved safety by a factor of 7 (!!!!) since 1992. We should all be taking our hats off to the combination of regulators, manufacturers, carriers, accident investigators, and front line workers who have achieved such an unbelievable improvement, not saying that there is now "apparently less safety".
