The minimum connection time for an international to domestic flight at MSP is 75 minutes. So your flights were just barely over that by 9 minutes. Given the bag issue I can see how you would have missed the flight. Good that all flights were on the same itinerary.

So back to your original question. Are you entitled to anything? I would make sure that you get reimbursed for the bus ride. I would be fairly pissed about the bad info on the next flight (e.g. waiting 8 hours only to find out there were no seats at all). As such, I would ask for a refund of that portion of the flight. For both I would push for cash monies not a Delta credit. In the mean, I hope your bag has been found.
