In the past 2 years AA has gotten borderline irrational with tight connection times. My typical 50-80 minutes connections have morphed into 30-50 minutes and trying to book longer connections often drives up the price. For me, traveling on AA has indeed become more stressful and less pleasant for this very reason as AA doesn’t have strong operational reliability.

I agree with others - this 47 minutes connection is not a good idea and DFW was not built with tight connections in mind as transfer times can take up to 20 minutes from gate to gate not including the time it may take for you to deplane coupled with AA’s obsession with D0.

If you can help it avoid this itinerary. If it’s already booked try arriving at CLT earlier and standby for the earlier DFW flight at the gate.
