It's not the "UK holidays", it's the holidays for the whole of Europe whose passengers make up a pretty material percentage of the people flying through DXB and probably a majority around Easter - my point was why didn't it start a week or two later.
I believe that temperature plays a part in when the works take place. Leave it till a later date and the end date gets pushed back far enough to a period where the temperature becomes too warm to work.
