Yes, at both within the last three months. Both are great properties, but rather different. I can't say one is better than the other.
The SH has a really nice deck with fireplaces and cozy seats where you can watch the sunset. The breakfast is "ok" at best, but the rooms are nice (I'm PP/Titanium and was always given an ocean view room). Free parking, and there are some restaurants and shopping across the street.
The Marriott is near the wharf, with a good breakfast, nice rooms that aren't too big (but not cramped), and nearly infinite things to do within walking distance. If you stay here, keep walking down Del Monte ave on the right hand side as you leave the hotel, and try Aloha Coffee Cafe, the owners are super friendly and the espresso is great (it's a bit of a walk, but persist...)
