If my dad calls AA to "connect" the reservations will my sister be able to get all platinum benefits?
-2 free bags
-MCE
-elite check-in/boarding (less important)
-also, is there any award fee for booking two months out that platinums get waived?
-are there any other benefits I am missing?

So, the question is, will my sister's family get all benefits if my dad calls AA and asks to link? OR, is there any value/reason for my dad to make one reservation for all 6 people out of his FF account?
The published documentation indicates only people on the same PNR get these benefits.
In reality, I have not had issues with 2 people on different PNRs, due to one being award. I suspect the odds of passengers sharing the benefits on separate PNRs depends on the status of the highest level passenger and possibly their Eagle Rating, and the numbers of passengers on different PNRs. Someone recently posted here about other family members losing MCE seats after the passenger decided to split the ticket to get himself an award in a higher class. If possible, I would recommend booking as many people as possible on the PNR with the Elite
