Seems like shifting sands for those with existing reservations. I had a 2 nights stay at St Regis Bali booked at 120k points, awaiting to earn points the points (I am waiting for a stay to credit that would have got me there). I checked today to see my reservation now says I need 170k points
MAR has always honored the category rate before rate increase. If you booked before March 5th & category was lower, then it will be honored at the lower rate. They need to do it manually, but it's not a problem. Never has been. Don't expect it to be now.
